Heart of gratitude

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That
afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.

I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it."

Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective.

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have.. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile Face
your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling...

And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway;
it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,
he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!MORAL :

Chris de Burgh to visit Iran to decide on concerts

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Singer Chris de Burgh, who has a loyal following in Iran, said on Tuesday he will visit the country in May to decide on staging concerts there.

The manager of Iranian band Arian, which has collaborated with de Burgh, said last year the concerts would be the first time since the 1979 revolution that an Iranian pop band had performed with a Western singer in the Islamic Republic.

Manager Mohsen Rajabpour said in his comments in December the concerts were planned for June or July at a Tehran stadium complex and that Iran's authorities had given their approval.

"I have been invited to go. Again, I know there are people who do not agree with this but I must tell those people ... we are not -- my friends and I -- politically naive," de Burgh told English-language satellite channel Al-Jazeera.

"We know the situation there. We know both sides of it. We are not going there to change the world, the culture. I am going to sing for people not leaders," he told the Doha-based channel.

Iran is locked in a dispute with the West over its nuclear ambitions, which Western nations fear are aimed at building bombs. Tehran insists its intentions are entirely peaceful.

"Just to show people that we are serious about this, we are going to make a trip at the end of May, for a few days, just to see what the situation is and then make a call on whether we can do the shows there or not," de Burgh said.

De Burgh, born of British parents and brought up in Ireland, is popular in Iran and his Web site message board (http://www.cdeb.com) has had several entries from Iranian fans.

Western pop songs with lyrics are banned by Iran's authorities although state radio sometimes plays instrumental versions. Iranian pop bands say their lyrics and tunes are vetted before they can be officially sold in Iran.

Merry New PERSIAN Year!

Hi dear friends. The administrators of Spearheads are talking! We hope you are all fine. We're back once more.

Noruz, the most important day of one of the richest cultures ever is coming in a few days. How sensible our ancestors were to choose the beginning of the new Persian year tie in with the beginning of the Spring. The time in which the nature emerges from a hibernation into which long ago it had gone. How beautiful the life is these days! Accept our congratulations on Noruz. Merry new Persian year!

Lets have a review on Noruz and its ceremonies;

The Origin Of Chaharshanbe Suri:

Chaharrshanbe Suri is a public ceremony which is annually held on the last Wednesday of each year. This festival is the celebration of the light (the good) winning over the darkness (the bad); the symbolism behind the rituals are all rooted back to Zoroastrianism. This ancient Iranian festival which has undergone lots of changes and distortions over time, includes lots of nice and interesting parts the most fascinating of which is building a fire and then jumping over it. Ancient Iranians knew the Fire as a purifier which wipes out all the evil from you. So this is why they used to build a (large) fire and jump over it. There were also some very interesting songs such as "Zardi-ye man az to, sorkhie to az man" accompanied with music and dancing which are now somewhat faded away. In another ceremony people run through the streets banging on pots and pans with spoons and knocking on doors to ask for treats. The ritual is called Qashogh-Zany (spoon beating) and symbolizes the beating out of the last unlucky Wednesday of the year. There are also several other traditions on this night, including the rituals of Kūze Shekastan, the breaking of earthen jars which symbolically hold ones bad fortune; the ritual of Fal-Gûsh, or inferring one's fu just of e, o. Some of the main ceremonies of Charshanbe Suri festival are still popular, however today's Chaharshanbe Suri is totally different from what we used to have many years ago. You'd better take care if decided to have a walk in the streets at the lase Wednesday night. Tomorrow is Wednesday, Esfand 28th, therefore it means it is the last Wednesday of the year! We are going to have another Chaharshanbe Suri tomorrow night. Accept our congratulations on this nice Persian festival of fire!

The Spread of The Seven "S"s:

1- Sabzeh or sprouts, (usually wheat or lentil) represents rebirth;

2- Samanu is a pudding in which common wheat sprouts are transformed and given new life as a sweet, creamy pudding which shows the ultimate sophistication of Persian cooking. It represents the blessings of God;

3- Sib which means apple, represents health and beauty;

4- Senjed the sweet, dry fruit of the Lotus tree, represents love. It has been said that when Lotus tree is in full bloom, its fragrance and its fruit make people fall in love and become oblivious to all else;

5- Seer which means garlic, represents protection and medicine;

6- Somaq which means sumac berries represents the color of sunrise; With the appearance of the sun Good conquers Evil;

And finally,

7- Serkeh which means vinegar, represents age and patience.

Some suggestions before the new year begins:
1- In the new year let's not make a spread of "7 Sin(s)!". Lets make a "7 Seen(s)" one.
2- If you have trouble finding the seventh "s", then why don't you try the Spearhesds?!

Yahoo.com has published a list of top ten news searches of the last year made by people all around the world. It may be nice to know that in this list our country is number 2. Here you read the article.

In the first days of January, cell phone footage of Saddam Hussein's final moments leaked out and tore a blistering path across the Web.

The Iraqi dictator's death by hanging happened at the very end of 2006. Yet the gruesome footage of the event so rattled the Web that searches for the deposed leader dwarfed all other news queries in 2007.

The ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan also propelled buzz throughout the year. But it was Iran that snatched the No. 2 slot in the list of top news searches. The nation's budding nuclear program, its controversial and outspoken president, and the growing talk of a military confrontation between Iran and the U.S. drove an astonishing number of searchers to the Web.

Back in the U.S., President Bush may be a lame duck but, as he reminded the Washington press corps recently, he is still relevant. The exponential growth of the bloggerati and surprise events like Karl Rove's departure helped to keep buzz on the commander in chief spiking throughout 2007.

As for the hopefuls eyeing the head chair in the Oval Office, all the presidential candidates have embraced the Web. But the two Democratic front-runners succeeded in fanning the fires of Search most intensely. In 2006, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton kicked up a whopping number of queries. They did it again in '07. Clinton is currently surging ahead in the polls, but if past buzz is any judge (and we think it is), she and Obama will remain neck and neck in their buzz tally.

Why no Republican contenders in the top 10 news searches for the year? We leave that to political analysts to answer. The GOP candidates certainly know how to spark buzz, and we've seen hefty spikes on Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, and, most notably, Ron Paul over the past 365 days. But their numbers don't come close to Obama's or Clinton's. Regardless, searches for a candidate by no means translate into votes. Just ask Howard Dean about that.

In politics everything can change in a heartbeat and likely will. When it comes to buzz, there's just one thing we can count on: The looming U.S. presidential election will ensure that one politician's name emerges among the top searches for 2008. The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

There are times in life that you think someone is in harmony with you but he/she is exactly opposite you. Our every day’s life is full of misunderstandings. And there are also times in life when you postpone doing sth and then you’ll regret it. By the way these two things happened when I thought my friend Ali had comprehended my ideas and concerns and I also delayed writing the principles and policy of Double Cherry.

I don’t think a life without borders is a tolerable place to live. We all have some ethics and tenets in life that we try to live based on them. And I don’t deny that some principles may be relative and subjective. But I do believe that it is your certain right to define some principles for yourself and whatever you are in charge of and expect the people not to disregard them.

By the way that was my reason to delete one of Ali’s posts when I found it totally against my policy. The action that made him go off the deep end and kiss Double Cherry goodbye! That was an honest report to you of what is going on here these days.

After all I should apologize Alireza cuz I had to elaborate the blog’s policy more clearly to him and to all. I thank him for his support during this time and also for his nice writings (however he deleted them all!). And I just tell him good luck.

I’m fully aware that at this decisive moment numerous eyes are stared to the monitors to know what happens to Double Cherry in the end! To dispel all worries I ensure every one specially our fans (if we have one!) that Double Cherry is still alive and God willing tries to be better day by day.
